Royal Academy Summer Show: Seeing spots

Oh yeah baby, back to the art. Finally made it to the Royal Academy Summer Show. All the better after having seen the BBC programme about the brutal selection process and the heartwarming stories about some of the people who were chosen. Made us very happy to see that all the people on the show had sold their pieces.

Was good to go late in the show's run so you can see which ones sell and which don't. It's all about those little red dots. Felt all warm inside to see this one of Tory Island, (a wild 1-mile by 3-mile island off the coast of Ireland) was doing particularly well, seeing as how my granny was from there.

My favourite was the print room. Such lovely stuff there. Also liked the Stephen Chambers one 'Boy, Boat and something else'. But £28,000 is a bit out of my budget right now. I wanted to bring something home but we decided an ice-cream in Fortnum and Mason across the road would be a better investment. (it was)
